Getting Started

Get started quickly and easily with this guide. Common installation and first use errors and issues are dealt with here. Should you still be stuck ask your question on the Support Forum

SQL Installation

• When installing SQL Server, ensure to select 'Mixed Mode Authentication' when prompted.
• Make sure that TCP/IP is selected in SQL Server Configuration Manager for both 'Protocols for MSSQLSERVER' and 'Client Protocols'.

First Run

• What went wrong?
  Song Projector logs all errors and other events, this can be found on the Log tab. An option is available to save the log on exit.
  
  
• Full Screen Toggle
  At any time while running Song Projector you can double click on the projection window to toggle between Full Screen and Windowed mode.
  
  
• Single Monitors
  If you only have one monitor on your computer, Song Projector will start with the projection window in full screen, without you being able to see any of the User controls! To perform testing on a single monitor computer keep the Projection Window in a Windowed state.
  
  
• Setting Projection Monitor
  When in windowed mode, move the Projection Window to the required window, and double click to return to Full Screen mode.

Web Notice Integration

• Song Projector can integrate notices from your church website. This allows anyone with access to your site's content to create notices from home, which will be displayed during services! Song Projector will access the configured URL to retrieve the notices which need to be formatted in the following XML below:
